About Munchkin Models

About Munchkin Models

General questions about who we are, how we work and what makes Munchkin Models different.

Munchkin Models is a child modelling agency and casting platform representing babies, children and teens. We work with brands, retailers, production companies, photographers and casting professionals to connect suitable children with modelling, advertising, commercial, TV, film and promotional opportunities.

Parents submit an application. If your child is approved, you will be invited to join our platform for between 1-3 years. Once activated, your child may be considered for suitable castings, and our team may also submit suitable profiles directly to clients. Clients always make the final booking decision.

Munchkin Models operates as both a child modelling agency and a casting platform. The platform allows approved families to manage profiles, access selected casting opportunities and apply where suitable. Our agency team may also review briefs and submit suitable children directly to clients where appropriate.

No. Every application is reviewed before approval. We consider factors such as age, location, image quality, suitability, availability and current client demand. Being approved does not mean work is guaranteed, but it means we believe your child may be suitable for the platform and future opportunities.

We represent babies, toddlers, children and teens. Our focus is child talent for modelling, advertising, commercial, lifestyle, fashion, family, TV, film and promotional work.

Munchkin Models combines platform access with agency support. Families benefit from profile visibility, casting tools, client access, profile management features and the possibility of agency submissions where suitable. We aim to make the process clearer, more organised and more accessible for parents.

Applications & Profile Activation

Applications & Profile Activation

Questions about applying, approval, activation and what happens after your child is accepted.

No. Applications are reviewed free of charge. There is no charge to submit your child’s application for review.

If your child is accepted, you will receive information about activating their profile. Activation is required before your child’s profile becomes live on the platform and before you can access the main platform features and casting opportunities.

Yes. If your child is approved, a platform activation fee is required before the profile can be activated. This fee is not charged at the application stage. It is only payable after your child has been reviewed and accepted.

The platform activation fee helps cover profile setup, platform access, profile hosting, casting tools, client visibility, administration, ongoing maintenance and agency support. It allows approved children to have an active profile and access suitable platform features during their chosen term.

Profile activation includes access to your child’s platform profile, profile management tools, visibility to verified clients and casting professionals, access to suitable platform castings, the ability to apply for relevant opportunities, and agency support where appropriate.

Yes. Parents can usually choose between 1, 2 or 3 year profile access options. A longer term can provide more time for your child to be visible to clients and considered for future opportunities, but it still does not guarantee bookings.

You do not have to proceed if you decide it is not right for you. However, your child’s profile will not be fully active and will not have full access to platform features until activation is completed.

Yes. If your child is not accepted, you may apply again in the future, especially if you have newer images, your location changes, your child becomes older, or client demand changes.

Castings & Bookings

Castings & Bookings

Questions about castings, client selection, bookings, shortlists and realistic expectations.

No. Registration, profile activation and access to castings do not guarantee bookings. The modelling and casting industry is highly competitive. We can provide access, visibility and support, but the final decision always rests with the client.

Clients select children based on the brief. This may include age, height, location, look, availability, experience, confidence, image quality, licensing requirements and the style of the campaign. Sometimes a child may be perfect for one brief and not suitable for another.

No agency can accurately predict how many jobs a child will receive. It depends on client demand, your child’s age, location, look, availability, travel flexibility, photo quality and how closely they match current briefs. Some children may be contacted more often than others.

Casting frequency varies. Some periods are busier than others, and some age groups or locations receive more briefs than others. You may receive several opportunities in one period and fewer in another. This is normal in the modelling industry.

Being shortlisted means your child may have been selected for further consideration or submitted to a client. It does not mean the job is confirmed. The client may still review other children, change the brief, cancel the job or choose someone else.

If a client wants to book your child, we will contact you with the details, including the date, location, fee, usage, requirements and next steps. You can then confirm whether your child is available and whether you are happy to proceed.

You should only apply for castings that match your child’s age, location, look, availability and requirements. Applying for unsuitable castings will not improve your chances and may make the process less effective.

Fees vary depending on the assignment, brand, usage, location, hours and type of work. The budget or fee will usually be included in the casting details or discussed before a booking is confirmed.

Castings and assignments can take place on weekdays, weekends, during school holidays or at short notice. Many jobs are planned in advance, but some clients require a fast turnaround.

Photos, Profiles & Visibility

Photos, Profiles & Visibility

Questions about profile images, professional photos, client visibility and keeping your profile updated.

Professional photographs are not required for every child. Many children start with clear, natural photos taken by parents. The most important thing is that images are recent, well-lit, clear and show your child naturally.

Upload clear, natural photos with good lighting. Avoid heavy filters, hats, hoods, sunglasses, face paint, distracting backgrounds or images where the child’s face is not clearly visible. Simple headshots and full-length photos usually work best.

Children change quickly, so we recommend updating photos regularly. Babies and toddlers should have photos updated more often, especially if their appearance changes noticeably. Up-to-date images help clients make accurate decisions.

Keep the profile updated, upload strong recent images, respond quickly to emails, only apply for suitable castings, be clear about availability and make sure your location and travel radius are accurate.

No. Child profiles are not publicly searchable in the same way as a social media profile. Profiles are intended for verified clients, casting professionals and platform use. We take child privacy seriously.

Verified clients and casting professionals may be able to view suitable profiles through the platform or receive submissions from our team. This is part of how children gain visibility for relevant opportunities.

Yes. Parents can update profile information and images through the platform where available. Keeping the profile accurate is important because clients rely on the information provided.

Fees, Commission & Cancellations

Fees, Commission & Cancellations

Important questions about platform fees, commission, cancellations and what is or is not guaranteed.

The platform fee contributes towards profile activation, platform access, profile hosting, client visibility, casting application tools, profile management features, administration, support and ongoing platform maintenance.

No. The platform fee provides access to the platform, profile visibility and the opportunity to be considered for suitable castings. It does not guarantee bookings, castings, auditions, paid work or a specific number of opportunities.

The fee is for platform access, profile activation, profile hosting, visibility, administration and support. Modelling work depends on client demand and selection. No reputable agency or casting platform should guarantee paid work because clients make the final decision.

Munchkin Models earns through platform activation fees and commission from successful bookings. A commission is deducted only when your child is booked for paid work through the agency.

Commission depends on the agreement or term selected. Where applicable, commission is deducted from successful paid bookings only. No commission is charged unless your child secures paid work through Munchkin Models.

If you wish to cancel, you should contact us so we can review your account and advise you based on the terms agreed at the time of joining. Cancelling does not automatically mean a refund is due, especially where profile activation, platform access or services have already been provided.

No. Lack of bookings does not usually qualify for a refund because work is never guaranteed. The fee relates to platform access, profile activation, visibility and support, not a promise of paid work.

We occasionally advertise selected opportunities publicly through social media or other channels. However, these represent only a small proportion of the opportunities we receive. Most platform opportunities and features are only available to activated profiles.

If you want your child’s profile to remain active after the chosen term ends, renewal may be required. Renewal is optional and will depend on whether you wish to continue using the platform.

Travel, Licensing & Practical Details

Travel, Licensing & Practical Details

Questions about travel, availability, school, licences and what happens when a booking goes ahead.

Sometimes. Many opportunities are based near your location, but clients may request children from wider areas depending on the assignment. You will always be told the location before accepting a booking.

For paid assignments requiring travel, travel or accommodation may be negotiated with the client where appropriate. This depends on the job, budget, client and location. Any agreed travel details should be confirmed before the booking goes ahead.

Some assignments may require a child performance licence depending on the child’s age, location, type of work and local regulations. Where licensing is required, we will advise on the process where appropriate.

Yes, many children work around school, nursery and family commitments. However, some jobs may take place during weekdays, so availability can affect how many opportunities are suitable.

That is fine. You should only confirm availability for jobs your child can attend. If your child is unavailable, you can decline or ignore unsuitable opportunities where appropriate.

Every shoot is different. You will usually receive details such as call time, location, clothing requirements, expected duration and contact information before the assignment. Parents or guardians are expected to attend with children.

Exclusivity & Other Agencies

Exclusivity & Other Agencies

Questions about whether you can work with other agencies or platforms.

Yes. Munchkin Models is generally non-exclusive, so you are free to work with other agencies unless otherwise agreed in writing.

It is helpful to keep us informed, especially if there are any conflicts, availability issues or exclusivity terms with another agency. This helps avoid confusion if your child is put forward for the same job by multiple sources.

Yes, unless otherwise agreed. However, any job secured through Munchkin Models or through our platform should be managed through us so that fees, usage, terms and safeguarding arrangements are handled correctly.
